KADUNA CRISIS: ARMED CHRISTIAN YOUTHS KILLED 4 IN FRESH ATTACK

Four people were killed yesterday on their way to Kaduna from Abuja by yet-to-be identified armed christian youth at Kara Tudu near Gonin Gora in Chukun local government of Kaduna state. A reliable source, who doesn’t want to be named, told our correspondent that the people were travelling on motorbikes when they diverted from the highway and took a bush path. “Ten of them travelling on motorbikes took the bush path because they felt that the Gonin Gora axis of the road was not safe. It was at the bush, six met their untimely death. This is a confirmed incident because four have escaped with injuries and they are now receiving treatment,” the source said. When contacted, however, the Kaduna State Commissioner of police, Muhammad Jinjiri Abubakar, said it was four people that were killed and his prompt intervention saved one person. “The deceased took the bush path to avoid the traffic gridlock at a check point in the area, which is Kara Tudu. When the natives of the area saw them, they suspected them and killed four of them while we rescued one. Four motorbikes are missing. The deceased were travelling to their hometown when they met their death. “I am pleading with the chief of the area now to fish out the youths that murdered these people because it is the youths of the area that killed them. We hope the chief would cooperate so that justice can be done. The person that survived is helping us with information,” CP Abubakar said. The white paper on 2011 post election violence released recently by the Kaduna state government recommended extra vigilance by security personnel on Kara Tudu and Gonin Gora towns, which were identified among the flash points where innocent travelers are intercepted and hacked to death.

President Jonathan Sacks NSA Azazi, Defence Minister

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday relieved Gen Andrew Azazi (rtd) and Dr. Haliru Bello of their jobs as National Security Adviser and Defence Minister respectively. The President has been under pressure to remove Mr Azazi a former Chief of Army and Defence Staff who recently accused the ruling PDP of being behind the radical islamic group, Boko Haram. To replace Mr. Azazi, according to presidency sources, is Mr. Sambo Dasuki, a retired armoured colonel and one time ADC of General Ibrahim Babagida.

AMERICA FORCES AND MOSSAD ASSASSINATE OVER 550 SCIENTIST AND ACADEMIC FIGURES IN IRAQ

Reports by Iraqi media revealed that Israeli secret service, Mossad, is very active in Iraq and is spying on Iran and its allies under the cover of Jordanian companies. According to a report by Iraqi Nakhel news agency, Iraqi resistance groups in separate statements have released the information and details of such undercover places and entities in different regions of Iraq, including Taji, Kirkuk and Baghdad, and announced that they have targeted these Israeli sites. Nakhel quoted a numbers of Iraqi prisoners as saying that they had been handed over to Israeli interrogators by the US troops. These prisoners said that the Israelis asked them questions about popularity of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Palestinian Hamas Islamic Resistance groups and the role of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in the region. Nakhel further quoted a report by Israeli daily Ma'ariv as saying that Israelis are active in Iraq under the guise of Jordanian companies, the most prominent figure among them is Israel's intelligence minister in Ehud Barak's cabinet, who runs Barak's company. "Most of the Israeli companies are active under the cover of Jordanian companies and are using Jordanian currency for their transactions," Nakhel quoted an official in the information office of Barak's company as saying. In relevant remarks in May, former Iraqi National Security Advisor Moafaq al-Rubaie said that the Israeli spy agency has infiltrated its agents into Iraq under different guises and assassinated the country's elites. Rubaie further unveiled that Israeli spy agents, disguised as US soldiers and members of civil society organizations, have infiltrated into Iraq in a bid to carry out such terrorist moves. Media reports revealed in November, 2011 that US Department of Defense (Pentagon) and US forces in Iraq have collaborated with Mossad to assassinate over 550 scientists and academic figures since the occupation of Iraq in April 2003. "Mossad in collaboration with American forces in Iraq killed 350 Iraqi nuclear scientists and 200 university professors in Iraq from 2003 to 2008," Jordanian daily International Reality said quoting a special security report prepared by US State Department in 2008 and delivered to President George W. Bush at the time. "Israeli commandos had been operating on Iraqi territory since the occupation of Iraq, the focus of their activities being the assassination of Iraqi scientists and intellectuals. The Zionists resorted to the large-scale assassination campaign after the failure of American efforts that started immediately after the American occupation of Iraq, aimed at attracting a number of Iraqi scientists to cooperate and go to work in the United States," the report said. "Some Iraqi scientists were forced to work in American research centers; however, the majority of them refused to cooperate in certain fields and fled the US to other countries," the report noted.

Nigeria: Targeted for destruction For those who have ears to hear

By GORDON DUFF I won’t write about Nigeria as a journalist. I am known in Nigeria as a national security specialist with decades of experience there. I have close personal friends at the highest levels of government and only write these few words out of deep concern. For those reading the news about Africa, both of you, Nigeria is under terrorist attack and preparing military operations against a group called Boko Haram, an Islamic group from the North, more accurately centred in Niger, a nation to the north, a cesspool of international intrigue. The group is real but in its current formation, it is the construct of outside powers who plan to Balkanize Nigeria. Nigeria is, in itself, a construct that never should have existed. The North is Muslim, the South is Christian, each side having nearly 100 million people and neither half are united in any way. The history after colonial occupation is one of military dictatorship and corruption at levels unimaginable. Nigeria is Africa, the most populace country, the most oil and gas wealth, the greatest economic potential, the biggest potential market. Thus, Nigeria is a target. Those in power know I laid out their fate. I told them when the bombings would start, what type, I was even right about the first target, exactly right. I figured what I would do and it happened. I figured what I would do if I were the head of a foreign intelligence agency planning to take over security operations for the government by making the new president appear vulnerable, powerless and then exploiting divisions in the country in order to start two decades of extremely powerful war. In the process, side can be played against side, crooked politicians can keep the decision making apparatus paralyzed and the country can be turned into a terrorist battleground, leading to the long awaited civil war while being bled dry. I laid the whole thing out. Two foreign governments are involved, I named them. I told my friends that Abuja would soon look like Islamabad, cameras, checkpoints, troops, that was the first part of the destabilization plan. This is being done as we speak. Real nation building is not in the cards, only rape and destruction, debt and more debt. I saw it done, more carefully, to the United States. It isn’t the same crew, not entirely, but many of the same actors are involved. First they began by blocking the new president from assuming real power, buying off key political and military leaders. Then a phony terror campaign was begun, like the one the US saw with 9/11. Then “they” arrived with solutions. At the same time, “they,” who have been working with the terror groups for years, are building an “Al Qaeda” type organization that will be able to dart across borders and carefully orchestrate a pattern of destabilization using the same contractors that are going to be paid millions to help put in place security apparatus to protect the country. This happened in America, in a way at least. It is a plan long in motion. Nigerians are ripe for civil war, angry, divided, fed up with abuse. I love the damned country, my friends there which include those who theoretically rule the country, if such a thing were possible. It is not. What I did do is lay out a plan for the first hundred days that would have prevented this. In order to accomplish this, one would have to overcome a corrupt government, meaning that one would have to assume near dictatorial powers and turn to the people, all the people, for support. One would have to deliver on promises of electrical power, police reform, refinancing debt, so many things. There were two choices, one was to build a nation and the other was to react and become the victim of a plot long stewing in two capitols far away. The desire for a civil war, something so many want in Nigeria, have waited for, has allowed them, the government, the people, to become what they fear most, slaves in their own nation. Nigeria isn’t Libya. It has a population 15 times that of Libya. Nigeria is Africa. Saving Nigeria was vital to world stability, something only a select few know. Destroying Nigeria was vital to world entropy, something only a select few know also. As we speak, plane-loads of bomb detection equipment is coming in from the same people who built the car bombs in the first place. War is being planned with the help of those who organized and armed the enemy. Enough people were there who remember it all being laid out, how it would be done. Predicting this didn’t take genius, not hardly. I had seen it all before, so many times. The plots spoken of as against Libya are very real but Egypt and Nigeria are the primary targets, taking the place of Iran, a nation that has been more resourceful than expected. Were it taught, which it is not, we would call it history. This article, culled from Dark Politricks of November 14, 2011, was originally published in Veterans Today, a US journal, where Duff works as senior editor.

Former president Hosni Mubarak "clinically dead"

Egypt's ousted presdent Hosni Mubarak was declared clinically dead after he was transferred to hospital from prison on Tuesday, state media reported, after his heart stopped beating. “Hosni Mubarak is clinically dead,” the official MENA news agency reported. “Medical sources told MENA his heart had stopped beating and did not respond to defibrillation.” Mubarak, 84, has suffered serious health problems since he was deposed in February last year. He had been in the medical wing of the Torah civilian prison since being sentenced on June 2 to life imprisonment for his role in the deaths of protesters. Mubarak’s health was the subject of widespread speculation for much of the latter part of his 30-year rule. During his trial, he was wheeled into court on a hospital stretcher for each hearing, though it was unclear what he was suffering from. His medical condition deteriorated after the verdict and he suffered an emotional breakdown after being moved to an intensive care wing in Cairo’s Tora prison. Doctors treated him with a defibrillator twice on June 11, according to a prison hospital source. He has suffered from acute depression since his transfer, as well as periodic increases in blood pressure and shortness of breath, interior ministry officials said. Mubarak’s wife Suzanne and his two daughters-in-law were given special permission to visit him following rumors that he had died in prison. His family has formally requested a transfer to a Cairo hospital but such a move could unleash the anger of activists and protesters.

JOS CRISIS: CUSTOM COMPTROLLER ARRESTED OVER ARMS DEAL

A Comptroller of Customs was arrested on Tuesday in Abuja for allegedly buying ammunitions over time from Niger State Police command. Mr. Jack Bot was arrested by men of the State Security Service (SSS) at the customs head office Wuse, Abuja, according to BBC Hausa service report monitored in Abuja yesterday. The SSS also arrested two police officers for alleged involvement in supplying arms and ammunition to armed robbers, and the information they provided led to the arrest of Mr. Bot. The customs officer and the two policemen were alleged to have a connection with the disappearance of some ammunition from the police armoury in Minna. The security operatives had earlier arrested Bot’s former orderly, identified only as Shehu. Commenting on the arrest in an interview with Radio France, Hausa service, yesterday, the Comptroller General of Customs Service, Abdullahi Inde Dikko said: “For long we have been working with Ali Kwara, who informed me that they suspected that someone among my officers is aiding armed robbers with weapons. I told him he should fish him out and arrest him, whoever he is. Eventually, they arrested a junior officer, one Shehu, who is an orderly to a comptroller, Jack, from Plateau State. When Ali Kwara arrested Shehu, he (Shehu) told him that Jack is his boss and they have been doing this together since 2002, and they even supplied weapons to Jos during crises. I thank God that out of 20,000 people I am heading only two people were accused of such crime.” Earlier, the spokesman of the Nigerian Customs Service Wale Adeniyi had confirmed Bot’s arrest in a text message to our reporter’s enquiry. “I can confirm SSS arrest of a comptroller. Investigation is in full swing; will keep you posted,” the text message read. Sources told Daily Trust in the course of investigating the story that two police inspectors were arrested and transferred to Force Headquarters last week. The source said the arrest of some armed robbery suspects led to the arrest of a customs officer and two police inspectors over weapons and munitions supply to the alleged robbers. The source said the customs officer confessed to investigators that he got his supply of arms and ammunition from two police officers in Niger State. The Niger State commissioner of police Mrs. Desire D. Nsirim confirmed to Daily Trust on phone that two policemen have been arrested and taken to Force Headquarters in Abuja. “A customs officer and two policemen were taken to Force Headquarters, Abuja for investigation on a miss-deed,” she said but refused to elaborate.

Nothern Christian Militants,AKHWAT AKWOP Give Seven Days Ultimatum to FULANIS

A militant Christian sect that first emerged last year in Christian-dominated Southern Kaduna again, threatened to chase out Fulani herdsmen if they do not leave the area in the next seven days. The group, known as AKHWAT AKWOP, said in an email to SaharaReporters through their spokesman, Bukarma Leguma, that it has “watched with disgust the unrelenting murders and killing of peaceful, innocent, and hardworking people by wandering bands of Fulani terrorist gunmen operating in southern Kaduna,” and urged the herdsmen to leave the area. “AKHWAT AKWOP is also aware that the ultimate aim of the Fulani terrorist is to create a situation of insecurity in southern Kaduna whereby our people will not be able to utilize this farming season thereby leading to hunger, deprivation and famine in the land,” the statement said. It warned that after the seven days of grace, which expires on June 10, AKHWAT AKWOP will declare “open season” on any Fulani found within their lands. Iran-Made Medicine Yields Positive Results in Curing AIDS Patients in Mali

TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior official of Iran's Red Crescent Society announced that HIV-infected patients in Mali have shown positive reactions to the Iran-made AIDS curing drug, Imod, in the course of their treatment. "We have been witnessing highly positive results of Iran-made Imod drug on AIDS patients in Mali during the last two years," Deputy of RCS for Health, Treatment and Rehabilitation Abdolreza Shahrezayee told FNA. He underlined Iran's extended health and treatment services in Mali, and said HIV-positive patients are being cured by Imod in RCS's polyclinic. Iranian scientists in 2007 found a safe and effective cure for the dreaded virus, AIDS. This medicine made up of herbal and chemical components works to build immunity and enhance the quality of life of both AIDS and HIV-positive patients with no proven side effects. Iran, which has taken wide strides in science and technology, particularly in medical and medicinal fields, in recent years, is helping Mali control and contain HIV infection across the African nation.

POLICE (BOKO HARAM) Kill Our People.

. Police killed my people – Leader . Boko Haram killed your people – Police There is apparent confusion in Potiskum, the economic nerve centre of Yobe State following another round of killings at the residence of Malam Mustapha Lawan, the representative of Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the national leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN). Mustapha is also the leader of the Movement in Potiskum and he told Sunday Trust how enraged he was over what transpired on Sunday, 26th May, 2012 shortly after Maghrib (sunset) prayers in front of his residence at Tsohuwar Tasha in Potiskum. The cleric said he was fully convinced that the assailants that descended on his house around 7.30pm on that fateful day are security operatives. He went ahead and pointed accusing fingers at the police, whom he claimed are vent on “annihilating him and his members.” Malam Mustapha alleged that the police wanted to eliminate him and his followers because of the sacrifice they are making in creating awareness among the Muslim community in Potiskum, whom he said are “under siege by excesses of security agencies.” According to him, “It really beats my imagination when top ranks of the police summoned the audacity and went public denying that their men attacked us when there are ample pointers that buttress their culpability,” the cleric said, noting that he was ready to prove his argument anywhere. He added that he has incontrovertible evidences to prove that the police killed three members of his group and injured five others. But the police in Yobe State fired back at the cleric and stressed that Malam Mustapha was just trying to cause confusion. Police commissioner Moses Onirepi said there was no way his men could kill people without any provocation, stressing that his men did not carry out the attack. “The Shiite (Islamic Movement) group should sort out their grievances with Boko Haram members because we learnt that they (El-Zakzaky’s followers) were preaching against their (Boko Haram) killings,” the commissioner said. “The fact is that the Shiites are only trying to cause confusion, they should leave Police alone,” he added. Our correspondents report that shortly after the attack on Sunday, there were many claims that the police carried out the attack. “The facts are there”, Yusuf Ali, a resident of Potiskum, whose house is not far from the scene of the attack remarked. “A curfew has been fixed in Potiskum whereby except security men, no individual or vehicle is allowed to move between 6pm and 6am of the next day. It is therefore appalling that any other group could drive in a convoy of cars and go and launch attack and then go away without any resistance, I bet you something must be wrong,” he said. Yusuf added that there were so many roadblocks in Potiskum and that it will be difficult for any assailant to use vehicle and then have his way. “In fact, it will be difficult to see somebody malingering around 5.30pm, not to talk of 7.30pm when many people have forced themselves to sleep,” he added. Fielding question on the evidences which the Islamic Movement said it has in its custody, the commissioner argued that, “If they have any evidence of that kind, then they should report it to the appropriate authorities or file a legal action. “They should do the right thing rather than making inciting comments and uncomplimentary remarks,” he said. The commissioner said that the last time the JTF raided a black spot in Potiskum was a day to the attack at the cleric’s residence. “The place we raided was Shago Tara, behind FCE Guest House which is opposite to where the Shiites group was attacked, so they should leave Police alone,” the commissioner insisted. Narrating his ordeal to Sunday Trust, the Islamic Movement leader in Potiskum said the attackers laid siege after he and his members had completed the Maghrib (Sunset) prayers and were waiting for the time of the last prayer of the day (Isha’i) “It is a usual practice that we utilize the little time we have between the two prayers and engage in prayers, learning of the Qur’an and jurisprudence,” he said. It was gathered that the frontage of the house of the clerics also serves as the mosque as well as a learning centre of the movement which has a large followership in Potiskum and environs. He said it was while he was seated together with about ten of his members that they began to hear thunderous sounds of gunshots. “As Allah pleases, we were not scared or rattled and we consoled ourselves not to flee because we don’t know what will happen if we attempt to move from the scene,” he said. It was after the shooting temporarily subsided that we decided to move into the outer room that is attached to my house,” he said. He said that when the shooting continued unabated and one of his people was killed before he got into the room. “About five of us succeeded in getting into the room and locked the door but the police targeted their rifles and fired countless gunshots…the bullet hit two of my people again,” the cleric said, describing the incident as “barbaric reprehensible and condemnable.” “Honestly speaking, the police are not helping matters; in fact they have made life unbearable to us because of their excesses. We don’t want the police, we don’t want the soldiers, in fact we don’t want the JTF here,” he said. “What we have at our disposal is enough evidence to prove to the world that the attackers were men of the Nigeria police in plain clothes,” he said. “We recovered bullets, magazines, and a rifle painted in police colours, belonging to the mobile police. Please what other evidence can we produce?” he asked, rather rhetorically. I still want to repeat! The extra judicial behaviour of the joint task force is reprehensible, unlawful and condemnable in its totality. The military action is an affront on our fundamental human right of worship and peaceful assembly,” he said. He expressed disgust that the very security men sent to ensure law and order in Potiskum are the same people that have turned their guns against the civilian population they are detailed to protect. “We now know that the federal government has sent military and police to kill our people; and no going back; we are going to defend ourselves and take any necessary action on the recent attack by JTF and killing of our members as soon as we conclude our investigation,” he said. “It is the wish of Allah that I am talking to you now, otherwise I would have been dead,” he said, adding that his colleagues had attempted to resist the onslaught. “One of us summoned courage and captured one of the assailants but when the others realized that one of them was at hand, they shot him dead and left,” the cleric said. “And as they were about to flee, they remarked that they have succeeded in shutting off our mouths,” he said. “But nobody can shut my mouth, provided I am alive and hale and hearty. Wallahi nobody can threaten me to keep quite from preaching what Allah said we should preach. I know we are into an expensive and risky venture but so be it. I know I could be killed but I have the strongest conviction on what we are doing. Allah is our surety,” he said. A source said the attackers arrived in four vehicles and opened fire at the worshippers and when they left, the injured were rushed to hospital for medical attention. Corroborating, Mallam Mustapha said the attackers once again ambushed the vehicles heading to the hospital and opened fire again. “By all indications, we were attacked by the people assigned to protect us but we would never relent, no going back,” he said. He gave the names of those that were killed as Abdullahi Zakar (33); Zakari Ali (43) and Mukhtar Lawan (42). Those that sustained serious gunshots include: Musa Lawan, Murtala Ashafa (a young Almajiri, Tsangaya School pupil); Hashimu Abdullahi, Abu Tallib Mohammad and Lawan Muhammad. “All the injured escaped death by the whiskers because one of them sustained 11 gunshots in his body. We are really grateful to Allah,” he said. He recalled that more than 100 gunshots were fired into the room he and few of his members entered. “Alhamdu Lillah, as you can see, we are alive because our lives are in the hands of God. We pray that He will grant Aljannatul Firdaus to our colleagues that died,” he said. Sunday Trust gathered that one of the deceased, Mukhtar Lawan was a younger brother of the cleric. “All the deceased were buried the next day amidst emotions and sympathy. They were brutally killed but Allah knows the best,” Salisu Abubakar, a sympathizer from Gombe State said. It would be recalled that the JTF in Potiskum came under severe criticism about four weeks ago following an attack at a cattle market, the largest in the northeast part of Nigeria which led to the killing of over 100 people. The Senator representing Yobe South, Senator Alkali Jajere had shortly after the attack at the market blamed the JTF of insensitivity. “We really have so many questions that are yet to be answered. The market was surrounded by military and police men, their duty posts are all over, it is difficult for me to believe that such a killing will happen without any resistance,” Jajere said. He also accused the federal government over its insensitivity to the plight of the people of the North and even called for the resignation of President Goodluck Jonathan. “The most painful part is that apart from prominent people that are directly related with the victims of all this incidents, nobody from the federal government cares to come and sympathize with us, this is really a big mess,” Jajere said. One Million People to Flee Israel in Case of Iran's Reprisal for Israeli Attack

The Iranian Supreme Leader's top military aide dismissed the possibility of a US or Israeli military move against Iran as "weak", and stressed that Iran's crushing reprisal for an Israeli attack will force one million Israelis to flee in the first one or two weeks of the conflict. Speaking on Friday, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said that coalition parties in the Israeli cabinet will leave the cabinet if Israel tries to wage a military move against Iran. He described Israel's Jewish community as "vulnerable", and noted, "The Zionists are living in such international conditions that if they intend to launch an attack against Iran, one million Jews will flee Israel in the first one or two weeks. Jews are very vulnerable there." He dismissed the possibility of a US and Israeli strike against Iran, and stated, "…the internal political conditions of the Zionist regime (of Israel) and the US as well as their economic and military conditions do not allow them to start a new war in the region." In relevant remarks this week, another top advisor of Iran's Supreme Leader also challenged the Zionist regime's intensified war rhetoric against Tehran, saying that the arch-foe of the Islamic Republic does not dare to stage a military attack against Iran. The comments were made by Supreme Leader's Advisor for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati in a meeting with a group of Egyptian journalists here in Tehran on Wednesday. Asked about Israel's growing saber-rattling and threat of military attack against Iran, Velayati said, "The Zionist regime has neither the power nor the courage and venture to do so for it knows that if it embarks on doing such a thing, it won't exist any more." Iranian officials and commanders have warned that any enemy move, even the slightest aggressions, against the Islamic Republic would be reciprocated with a destructive response and will endanger enemies' interests all around the world. Late in May, Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) boasted Iran's missile power, saying all enemy bases in the region are within the reach of Iranian missiles. "Today, there is no base in the region lying outside the reach of the Iranian missiles," Brigadier General Hossein Salami said at the time. In March, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stressed Tehran's military preparedness to give a crushing response to any possible aggression against the country. "We do not possess a nuclear weapon and we will not build one, but we will defend ourselves against any aggression, whether by the US or the Zionist regime, with the same level (of force)," Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing thousands of Iranian people in the holy city of Mashhad, the provincial capital city of Iran's Northeastern province of Khorassan Razavi. The Leader said Washington and its allies are well aware that Iran is neither in possession nor in pursuit of nuclear weapons and the real reason behind their enmity against Iran is their thirst for the nation's oil.
